Design Destination: Former Fire Station in London

Chiswick Fire station restaurand and bar, London

A venue of dreams! One can only envy Londoners for having such an inspiring place to celebrate their happiest moments of life or just simply contemplate on them while sipping a cup of tea in this historical fire station now redone into a modern cafe & bar. All of us (non-Londoners) can just add this place to our travel itineraries as our next design destination. Check out what No197 Chiswick Fire Station has on its plate for us!

Succulents have been a huge interior design hit lately and not only in pots of different variations but images of them can be seen as framed-art, on textiles and even in our wardrobes. Experience tells us that cactus is something that our clients love to see on their wallpapers as well.

The deep blue of these tiles is just captivating and soothes the overall industrial feel of the bathroom. Seems that lots have been left from the good old station days and just how cute the four little taps are?

Ah, the sentiment of knowing what purpose the building has served before becoming what it is now... The space is trendy, a bit harsh - with the brass fixtures, white floor & walls, wooden accents and very little presence of framed art. It is also a bit seductive with the pink and red velvet sofas and cactuses. All the perfect combinations to reach the golden middle (a.k.a. interior perfection). Feeling motivated to visit yet?
