Modern Boy's Room Interior Inspo

Posted by Līva Miķelsone on

This beautiful, neutral boy's bedroom interior inspo is brought to you by Melissa of Winter Daisy. Her sons Xavier's bedroom the first room she has officially finished in her new rental house and may we say she has knocked it out of the park?! Every detail seems to be in just the right place and that subtle robot theme is just something else! Browse through this post to tour the room and get inspired for your next interior renovation project.

Neutral white color palette boys room interior with removable wallpaper

In this project Melissa used our Watercolor Brush Stroke wallpaper from our Scandinavian Wallpaper Collection in custom color - Linen. Even though both of our wallpaper materials are removable, she chose the self adhesive wallpaper material for a quick peel and stick application, so she would not have to use the wallpaper glue for the installation. If you wish to read more of the differences between the two wallpaper materials we offer, please check out this blog post here.

Modern boys room art corner with house shaped chalkboard wall, removable wallpaper and robot theme

The thing we most adore in this corner is the hand-drawn robot on the house shaped chalkboard! Xavier drew it himself for this photo shoot and this little guy adds so much character to the room, don't you think?

Modern boys room with light wood bunk bed, natural linen bedding, gender neutral removable wallpaper and white furniture

Another favourite thing of ours is how well all the patterns play together in this interior. The brush strokes from the removable wallpaper create a beautiful backdrop for the delicate striped bed linen and the darker toned area rug play beautifully with the dotted floor pillow.

The toys also seem to be very thought through. When you look around the room you see beautiful subtle color scheme and somewhat natural materials. No aggressive colors and overuse of plastics. Sustainability seems to be another key factor in decorating this boys room.

Light wood dresser in white boys bedroom interior with robot themed gallery wall

Wood is another material that pops up in this room and actually adds warmth to the overall look. The contrast between the darker wooden floor and light wood furniture has played out wonderfully and is actually one of the top tips on mixing wood tones. Go for contrast and break them up with an area rug for a cohesive look!

Boys room gallery wall with robots and minimal style art

In these two images we can see two ways to create a gallery wall in any kid's room interior. The most obvious of course is to use framed art either above a dresser or bed/crib, wherever it would fit best. It allows to emphasise the theme of the room as in this case - robots! We love it!

The second that has been widely used for the past couple of years is book wall/gallery wall. If you're not fond of using artworks in your kid's room, consider displaying his or her's most loved books! This is a cute way to add additional detail to the room that's actually functional. And of course it works not just for kids rooms, but any room in your house!
